Palliative Home Care

Palliative care is a type of care given to individuals who are nearing the end of their lives, a period of time that can be difficult to anticipate. The purpose of Sams Helping Hands home care is to ensure that the individual lives as comfortably as possible until passing.

The end-of-life process may be a delicate and stressful moment for everyone concerned, and there are frequently many decisions to be made regarding a person’s specific care as well as post-passing decisions and arrangements.

At Sams Helping Hands, we want to be able to provide emotional and physical support to not only the service user, but also to the family to make the process a little less overwhelming for you and your family.

With our palliative care service, you can remain in the comfort of your own home, surrounded by your loved ones and memories. However, you will have the support and peace of mind that comes with having a fully trained carer with you to provide compassionate and dedicated care.

Some of there services we provide are:

  • Personal care, Bathing, toileting, dressing, and continence care.
  • Clinical care such as stoma and catheter management
  • Medication management and administering.
  • Household tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, laundry and pet care.
  • Mobility support – Whether through gentle support or hoisted transfers.
  • Grocery shopping and prescription collection.
  • Assistance with pain management.
  • Companionship – We are here to not only care for you or your loved one, but to also become friends and support your quality of life at home.
