Companionship

Socialising

Meeting new people may have a significant positive impact on the happiness of those receiving long-term care at home. Getting out and about, or at the very least having visitors to call, will significantly speed up the healing process for someone who is undertaking recovery.
We still strive to include certain elements of socialising in the care plans we create for our clients because it is so helpful. Despite the fact that everyone’s needs are different and physical abilities vary, we’ve found that everyone benefits from socialising on a regular basis. A social gathering is very often something to anticipate, appreciate at the moment, and then reflect on later.
We assist our customers in participating in a broad range of social events, including:

  • Organizing outings, such as getting together with friends and relatives
  • Visits to the local bar or a social club on a weekly basis
  • Trips to the store
  • Visits to the hairdresser, nail salon, or chiropodist
  • A trip to the library to select some books or CDs
  • Getting together with friends and family for tea and cake at a café
  • A trip to the movies or the theatre

The options are limitless, so if you have a specific destination in mind, just let us know and we’ll make all of the necessary arrangements for you to attend.
